about us

founded in 2002

Founded in 2002 in Amélie-les-bains-Palalda, The Laidlow Tribe has evolved from hosting year-round triathlon training camps to offering comprehensive online triathlon coaching, to athletes from all around the world. At the heart of our approach is a blend of family values, holistic training, inclusivity, and a supportive community, emphasizing the importance of good mental and physical health, continuous improvement, and mutual achievement. We cherish the personal stories of our athletes, reflected in their testimonials.

the laidlow family's unique contributions

The Laidlow family’s unique contributions, highlighted by Sam Laidlow’s remarkable achievements, underscore our collective journey. The first pivotal moment was Sam’s historic second place at Kona in 2022, marking him as the first French male to podium in Ironman’s history, followed by his emotional victory at the IM World Championships in Nice in 2023, he was the youngest ever winner. Coached fully by Richard since 2017 this has been a family project for as far as we can remember. Jake shares a similar ambition and although only 15 has his sites already focussed only on LD Triathlon, and becoming a professional triathlete.

So as we look to the future, our mission remains simple, to continue to foster a positive, encouraging environment, for all our Triathletes. To stay true to our profound beliefs whilst growing and supporting  our family of inspired friends and athletes, I guess you can call these people our TRIBE.

We continue to offer 24/7 professional triathlon coaching, and for these coached athletes the opportunity to come stay with us, train with us, and “fly” with us .
